The One Four Challenge(you can read about it, and join it here). This challenge is about processing 1 image in 4 different ways over 4 weeks.
For this month I decided to edit a photo that was actually from a 35 mm slide taken in the mid 1960s by my father. My family visited friends who had a cottage up at Madge Lake in Saskatchewan. There were 4 kids in my family and 6 or 7 in the other family(one of the boys towards the right may have just been a friend)!! We had such a good time together.
This week’s edit was done with an ipad app(maybe iColorama or 100 Cameras in 1)…sorry but I forget which app for sure. The effect of this app was to smooth out everything by removing some details and to give a slight glow:

This week there is a real painted feel to it. I think that my favourite is the black and white edit.

The 1960’s? This looks very current, the styles of hair and clothes. And the image seems pristine. You did a great job. It was very hard to pick a favorite but I would say probably week 1. Or maybe week 3. I like the toned down red of the cottage. So that it doesn’t detract, or catch the eye, as much.

Mostly subtle changes in your image too this month, so yes hard to decide.
Viewing on iPad, which I know is different to a screen, Im going to say I like weeks 1 and 3.

A lovely family in all edits! – and I think for me the monochrome gave it a more timeless feel!
