The theme of this week’s WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge is Shadowed.
No problem getting nice shadows in Winnipeg in winter…the sun never gets very high. I captured the shadow of a dried seed head from an Achillea plant as it peaked through the snow:
Photo taken with my Samsung Galaxy phone, edited in Oggl-Hipstamatic and touched up in Photoshop..

Really like images of dried out plants with a snowy background – they have such an appealing simplicity.

Nice shot Marsha. I’ve tried to fins a way to boost the image resolution on my Galaxy 3 but can’t find a way to get beyond 72 dpi. Have you?

Dpi is just for printing….if you want to boost this go to photoshop and make the print size smaller. I don’t think it affects how it looks on screen…My camera takes 16 megapixel photos(whatever that means!!!).
