One Four Challenge for January Week 2: Woodland Scene

Month 3 for the One Four Challenge which you can read about it, and join it here. This challenge is about processing 1 image in 4 different ways over 4 weeks.

A landscape photo for this month…bare trees, a picnic table, a bench and a creek-bed…..all under a light dusting of snow and a very grey sky. The photo was taken with my Samsung Galaxy phone using a square format

For week 2, I simply used the app Sketch Guru which converted the photograph into a pencil crayon sketch:

Not much effort required for this week’s version I have to admit!!. I used the original photograph but pretty much landed up with the same warm colours as week 1 version although the sky and snow remained white. The snow actually looks quite pretty in this version!

Sketch Guru does a nice job of converting photographs to a sketch and has 13 different styles to choose from…and this app is available for both Android and Ios. And it is FREE.

You can see the original and week 1 version in the gallery below:

  1. Morning Marsha – you got a lovely result with this app.
Kind of has an HDR feel about it too, bringing out lots of detail. Love the light and those sketchy lines. A great result for week 2 😃
