Month 3 for the One Four Challenge which you can read about it, and join it here. This challenge is about processing 1 image in 4 different ways over 4 weeks.
A landscape photo for this month…bare trees, a picnic table, a bench and a creek-bed…..all under a light dusting of snow and a very grey sky. The photo was taken with my Samsung Galaxy phone using a square format:
And this is my Week 1 version, edited with the Oggl-Hipstamatic app(Lucas Lens and Kodot XGrizzled film):
This app is all about adding lens and film effects. Just a touch of a few buttons and a very different version of the photo emerges! I like the warm oranges and yellows in this week’s version. To me, the original photo is quite cold and un-inviting, though it is more truthful!!!

It does totally change the feel of the picture. It went from cold looking to ….still cold but more appealing, lol.

I love those cold winter scenes but you added a warmth with the sepia that brings out the detail in the trees!! Beautiful!

What is real and what is not is all about how you remember it. If the day was warm emotionally then the edit speaks the truth. Never used hipstamatic but as mobile edits go this is a good one.

Love it! I love trees in winter. This week’s edit brings a great look and feel to it – the barrenness of winter and yet it’s got a warm touch. Eager to see more!

Hi Marsha, I too like what you’ve done. There is a warm tone to it and the details of the bark on the trees are more visible.

Happy New Year Marsha 😃
A lovely image and a lovely view. I like both! The light and changes in the 1st edit are very appealing and I also like the original with all its grayness.
A wonderful start to January!!

Wow – what a difference the edit makes! I have to say, though, that I quite like the original. The blue tones make it feel very gentlel to me.

I like what you did here, the light in the original photo is very flat and dull. Your filters still capture the bare starkness of the winter trees and sky but now there is more impact and detail to the trees 🙂
