I am going to make an attempt to participate In Nancy Merrill’s photography challenge for 2017. You can read about the challenge here. Basically, she comes up with a theme and posts a photo that she think fits the theme on each Thursday. My task(as well as others following her meme) is to interpret her theme and post a photograph that I think fits the theme before the following Thursday, when a new theme is started.
This week’s theme is “Moving Waters”. I knew I had a few photos of little waterfalls that would meet the criteria of moving water…but then I remembered my photo of 2 fighting ducks that I had taken at Kildonan Park last week. A female mallard was taking care of her ducklings when a male mallard invaded her territory. She wanted nothing to do with him and put up a massive fight to scare him off…and eventually he flew off and rejoined his own mate in a nearby pond.
