I am going to make an attempt to participate In Nancy Merrill’s photography challenge for 2017. You can read about the challenge here. Basically, she comes up with a theme and posts a photo that she think fits the theme on each Thursday. My task(as well as others following her meme) is to interpret her theme and post a photograph that I think fits the theme before the following Thursday, when a new theme is started.
This week’s theme is “Golden Hour”…as in the time between one hour before sunset and one hour after sunset. No beach nearby(as suggested in the challenge) so I had to settle for my neighbourhood.
I double checked sunset time for May 25th in Winnipeg and it was 9:21. So I headed out to my backyard at 8:40…well within the golden hour and took some photos of the setting sun as seen through my neighbour’s back yard. I used a small aperture to get a sun star:
Aren’t I lucky to have such a beautiful garden right next door!!!!!

Love the sun rays you captured! 🙂
