Last night was the first #finditdowntown photo walk held in connection with Winnipeg’s Flash Photographic Festival. Find out more about the festival and the photowalk here.
One of the stops along the way was The Fairmont Hotel…we got some snacks in the lobby, a visit to the pool and sauna, a chance to go up on the roof…and a stopover in the Royal Alexandra Suite.
One of the participants in the walk immediately sat down at the grand piano in the suite and played some cool music for us. I caught his photo as did another photographer on the left. This was certainly one well-polished piano(or maybe due to a protective layer):

Do some photographers decline to participate because they don’t want to give up the rights to their photos? That’s a great shot that you got.

I don’t know..everyone who went on the walk did sign to agree to let the sponsors use the photo(with credit to the photographer) but nothing mentioned about giving rights away…..But the photowalk does give opportunities you wouldn’t get otherwise!

When watching concerts on TV the polish of a piano often gives the illusion that there are two keyboards, facing each other, with players playing in tandem.

Interesting photo capture. The walk about sounds like a lot of fun. I really need to see if there is something similar in my area.
