A new exhibit opened at the city’s Assiniboine Park Zoo…heavy horses…Percherons!! This white and grey horse was quite the show-off and surprisingly light on its feet.
A trotting horse…moving its legs in unison in diagonal pairs. 2 legs on the ground and 2 in the air:
A cantering horse. 1 leg on the ground, 3 in the air:
It sure looks like the horse was having fun!!!

Oh so lovely – aren’t Percheron a gorgeous horse! I wonder what other heavy horses they will have visit? One of the nicest horses I rode was a Percheron Thoroughbred cross.
