I am playing with Prairie Jill(http://prairiejill.blogspot.ca/)and Miriam(http://miriamrogers.co.uk/). We are working our way through Steve Sonheim’s photography book(Creative-Photography-Lab-Self-Expression-Mixed-Media), lab by lab.
I didn’t really follow the instructions for this lab…..at some point I will actually do the lesson the way Steve outlined it because I like what it gets at. I want to try it with bubbles or rain drops.
But nonetheless, I did get reflections…both in Bunn’s Creek Park. I came across 2 situations that yielded reflections, but at a distance so as not to scare off the birds.
First, a male mallard in a very shadow puddle. The surface was like a sheet of glass:
And secondly, 2 Canada geese in the creek:
Do you notice the water droplets from the goose in the foreground’s beak?? Check out the enlarged view by clicking on the photo…it was an unexpected bonus in this photo.
