Photo Lab #12 Shadows

I am playing with Prairie Jill(http://prairiejill.blogspot.ca/)and Miriam(http://miriamrogers.co.uk/). We are working our way through Steve Sonheim’s photography book(Creative-Photography-Lab-Self-Expression-Mixed-Media), lab by lab.

I got a lucky break on this one a few weeks ago. Hubby was up on the roof, shoveling off the snow…I knew I would need a shadow photo for this lab, so I snapped a series of action shadow shots. I chose this one because it shows the snow being tossed off the roof and clearly shows hubby and the shovel/scoop:

for blogI did forget that we were to take this in B&W, so I just converted my colour photo in PSE…not much to convert though…only a small patch of blue sky near the upper right corner…

  1. Great shot! I love the idea of taking action shots. (Too bad most of that snow is still with us. Sigh.)

I managed to remember to shoot in b&w when I took mine, but I’m not sure it really makes a difference.
