Yeah- time for Sunprinting Again

Finally it is warm and sunny enough for sunprinting. For the last 2 summers I had been using Pebeo Setacolor paints, but thought I would try some transparent Liquitex acrylic paints since there more and different colours available. And they worked great! As usual I am using pressed leaves. For variety, I also thought I would try some objects I bought to use as ijatime resists for my shibori class- the “flower” worked great, but the star is a bit boring….quilting will liven it up though. And a good ironing will make the fabrics lie flat.

  1. Thank you for your suggestion to use transparent Liquitex acrylic paints. I have also had good results with Golden fluid paints. I cannot wait to try the Liquitex brand since this brand is easier to locate in our remote location.

    • Hi Susan….just a note about the Liquitex paints. I used them a bit more, and I find the colour to be a bit flat compared to Pebeo Setacolour paints and they make the fabric a bit stiff. Not sure why…maybe I painted them too thickly
