pencil case from shibori fabric

This was made from my hand-painted shibori fabric(please excuse the loose brown thread in the middle of the case!). I love the fabric but didn’t do very creative quilting, just highlighted some of the obvious features. The purple is purchased batik.

Thanks to Gloria Hansen and Melanie Testa for the tutorials.

  1. Thanks everyone. I loved making the shibori fabric. But also have to admit that I was a bit of a rebel and modified Melly’s pattern by changing the dimensions, since some friends of mine wanted me to make them some cases to use as sunglass cases. So it is a bit wider, and the base part is deeper than the original.
And yes, sure- the brown thread was for wabi-sabi(had to google it)…….
